The Last Of Us Part 2 [Video Game]

Part 2 continues the story of Ellie and Joel in a post-apocalyptic world dominated by a deadly infection that turns people into violent creatures. As Ellie embarks on a quest for vengeance, players navigate through challenging environments, encounter diverse characters, and confront moral dilemmas. The game explores themes of loss, survival, and the consequences of one's actions in a world on the brink of collapse.

This is an action-adventure, horror survival game that is single player. Players have the option to change the difficulty at any time. The game is around 25 hours long. Significantly longer than its predecessor with the level designs being linear while implementing some open world elements. The game has chapter selection and game modifiers that offer lots of replay value for the gameplay, but as for the story, maybe not.

Navigating through the game will require you to use your brain for the most part, but if you are having trouble, pressing the L3 button faces the camera in the direction of story progression, marking the path to follow. The game instructions are very clear and helpful for players who have never played or are coming back from the last game. The gameplay has improved a lot from the first game and is the main reason for playing the game entirely. If I remember correctly, the controls are exactly the same as the first game, but includes new features like dodging, lying down, and the aiming is more advanced.

The first game for me was a masterpiece for the story telling and gameplay. The ending for the first one was kinda open for interpretation, so the second game was kinda unnecessary, but at the same time I can see there being a sequel. As for the story of the second game, it made me feel terrible and uneasy with the hardships that happened. The story can make someone want to take a break or not finish it entirely, but is fitting for the world they live in.

The game was a rollercoaster of emotions so I would recommend it for players who have played the first game, loved the gameplay, and are willing to experience the story, despite its tough-to-swallow plot progression.
