Our local history collection is housed on the second floor of our newly-renovated Central Branch, in the historic "Bishop's House." Our collections include microfilm, city directories, fire insurance plans and the collection of the Kingston Branch of Ontario Ancestors (formerly the Ontario Genealogical Society). We also hold a number of items from the collection of the United Empire Loyalists Association of Canada (UELAC).

In addition, many local history tools and resources are waiting to be discovered in our Digital Kingston website.
